No, a road bike in perfect technical condition is perfectly adequate for our "Beginners' and Race Training Motorcycle" courses. Mirrors are taped over or removed. Good tyres and brake pads are important.
That's part of racing. We always recommend having rain tyres with you (we also offer a mobile tyre service). If you don't have rain tyres, we will adapt the training or use the time for theory and line selection seminars.
For most "tourist drives" or race training sessions that are not intended to achieve maximum speeds (but rather to improve driving safety), private accident insurance often still applies, provided that racing risks are not excluded. Motor vehicle liability insurance does not usually apply on the race track. We strongly recommend taking out special accident insurance for motor sports.
Your bike instructor will ride alternately in front of you (to show you the line) and behind you (to observe you). After each turn, we will analyse what went well and what needs to be changed. On request, we can use onboard cameras.
Our home base is the Eifel region, so we are often at the Nürburgring (GP and Nordschleife), Spa-Francorchamps or Zolder. On request, we can also accompany you to track days throughout Europe (e.g. Spain in winter).
