For many motorcyclists, 100 km/h registration is a decisive factor in reaching their destination quickly and stress-free on long motorway journeys. This saves valuable time, especially when travelling to distant race tracks or holiday destinations. However, this special permit is subject to strict technical requirements that are often overlooked: by law, the trailer's tyres may not be more than six years old, calculated from the date of manufacture (DOT number).

We pay meticulous attention to this detail with every motorcycle trailer service. If the tyres are older, the 100 km/h approval automatically expires, even if the tread still appears to be in mint condition. This can not only lead to hefty fines during checks, but in the worst case can also jeopardise insurance cover. We replace outdated tyres with new ones and balance them precisely.
